How Everything Started....
Source of Life is more than a bakery. It is a story—one that begins with a single grain of wheat and ends at the heart of the family table.
Our journey is rooted in Greece, where for over 20 years our family has worked with flour, time, and tradition. Bread has always been at the centre of our lives. Not rushed, not forced—allowed to rest, ferment, rise and transform. When we opened our first Source of Life bakery in East Barnet Village in 2020, in the midst of uncertainty, our purpose was simple: to tell the story of bread and share it with the community.
From seed to flour, from starter to dough, each loaf takes over 20 hours to become what it is meant to be. Slow-fermented sourdough, baked in-house every day. Artisan pastries made by hand. Sweet and savoury creations crafted with care, patience and respect for the process. Bread with a crackling crust, deep aroma and flavours meant to be shared—at breakfast, at lunch, at celebrations, in everyday moments. This is why we call it Source of Life.
